Safe Disposal

Lithium batteries require proper disposal.  SWE follows the Federal Regulations of the United States that governs the transportation of primary (non-rechargeable) lithium and rechargeable lithium ion and lithium polymer batteries. Please refer to Part 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations, (49 CFR Sections 100-185) of the US Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) and EPA Guidelines (Title 40 Part 273).

As a service to our customers, SWE offers safe handling of your disposable battery needs in accordance with Federal Regulations for ground shipments.  SWE supplies UN-specification crates to your location.  Batteries are then packed in our custom designed container and ground shipped to SWE, where arrangements for disposal are handled with strict adherence to regulations.  For further information, contact us at info@swe.com.
